Used Soccer Equipment Collection Drives
Over 500 pieces collected - 138 balls, 110 Cleat
We have had tremendous success with collection drives in our Northern Virginia community. We are fortunate for the support of Farmwell Station Middle School, where we made our first collection drive. With that success, and with the support of Boy Scout Troop 2970 led service project initiatives, we ran another two collection drives; one in Loudoun County and the other in Fairfax County. We are extremely grateful to the Loudoun Youth Soccer Association (LYSA) for supporting Passback and Troop 2970 at their annual spring tournament. It was a huge success. LYSA went further in supporting Passback soccer through a collection bin setup at their administrative office over the summer. In Fairfax county, we encountered the generous spirit of Fairfax Police Youth Council (FPYC) soccer for heartily supporting Passback and Troop 2970 at their Fathers Day Soccer Tournament. This drive, collected at eight fields spread out over the county from Reston/Herndon to Springfield, was immensely successful. At both tournaments we had the pleasure of interacting with enthusiastic tournament directors that e-mailed coaches of the drive and gave our soccer drive publicity on their tournament website, meeting highly supportive coaches and administrative staff, that even went so far as to tend our collection boxes overnight in addition to securing donations, and wonderful parents and players. All equipment will be distributed to those in need via shipment to Passback.
